I'm a month out on getting my F-Type, but have started looking at some accessories I would like to add. One is potentially the Escort 9500ci (and also a clear bra, more info below). My dealer (Jaguar of Plano (TX)) suggested the Car Toys in Frisco as one of his customers had gotten an install on a V8S there. So, couple of questions:


-Anyone have any 9500ci/F-Type install they can share details on?
-Is the person who had it installed at Car Toys Frisco (TX) on this forum?
-Pictures? Install points? Lessons learned?


I searched this and all the Jag forums, and all the posts I found were for other cars, or 3+ years old. Would love some help if anyone can give some pointers on this.


On the clear bra, it looks like the Xpel Ultimate is very well liked. The place I'm looking to get tint put in uses llumor which I don't see talked about. And, it seems like 3M released a new product recently (Scotchguard Paint Protection Pro Series). Wondering how they compare. Also, anyone had any of these installed in the Dallas metroplex and can make a recommendation on an installer?

Key is a good installer. Nothing special about a Jag that they need to be Jag experts. If you dont get response from this forum check out the Porsche or MB BMW forums. More active members from Dallas probably can give you recommendations on installers.

 

Yes, re: good installer.
I have Xpel ultimate and it has already saved my from two stone chips.. the xpel just got bruised.
Its certainly not indestructible, but I'm really glad I had it installed. The 'ultimate' is waxable, some materials are apparently not.
Don't know about the new 3M product, I was told the last product they had could yellow and could not be waxed which makes it tough when you are trying to wax your car and need to skip over places.
