Question Insurance and F Type R owners in NJ/NY region

Hi guys,
I was quoted $2000.00 yearly premium by State Farm with 100,000/300,000 limit and $100.00 and $200.00 deductible .
I'm wondering if I might be able to find a better deal with a different carrier. Any advise for insurance will be appreciated .
Thank you.

A TON depends upon age , marital status, driving record, and even credit score.

FWIW I pay a little less than that, and I have an 18 year old son on my policy... (OUCH) But I have a clean driving record, multi car and homeowners discount, and I am widowed. (Not sure if that is a discount or surcharge...) My son also maintains a "good student" discount. (And I am in Texas!)

Try Progressive. It never hurts to get another quote and they do it online quickly.

Those deductibles are pretty low. If you can afford an R do you really need $100/200 deductible? FWIW, I have 1000/1000 deductible with the same coverage limits through state farm and pay about $960 annually.

Yes, I know and realuze the mentioned factors will determine the policy amount .
I also have a clean driver record, I'm in my late 40's and I am divorced. I was told by the agent at my age the insurance company doesn't hold it against you for not bring married. Typically a married driver gets a better deal with the quote but that applies to younger drivers . My credit score is also solid with no issues or negative history . Last, I know where you live will determine the amount you pay for your premium. The better the area, the less risk you are according to the insurance companies . I live in a very good community. I will ask about raising my deductables to 1000 for comp and collision. Let's see how much it will be lowered. Thank you guys.

yeah I'd try changing the deductibles for the biggest difference, it's amazing how much the premium quote changes. You can also try geico. I switched to geico after having an accident under State Farm. State Farm was extremely slow with estimates and customer service was not very good.

Also look at Mercury Ins. if you have a clean driving record. They're pretty good, we have it with their homeowners and have a good rate.

I've used Erie for many years. Decent rates, excellent customer service, good claims action.
