Jaguar ftype convertible 2014 during storms / windy weather drivers side floor wet
Hi guys,
During windy / stormy / rainy weather my jaguar ftype v6s 2014 convertible is getting wet on the drivers side carpet. I am having to dehumidify and use dehumidifier bags and kitchen roll to soak up water.
What could be causing this? I have ordered a high spec car cover but do you guys know from experience where the water is getting in? Also, car is not garaged obviously.

I’ll assume the roof was up.
On previous cars (decades ago), water in the passenger footwell was from an improperly installed windshield. I don’t think there’s a drain in the A-pillar.

Compare both sides.
Give the top's header a yank where it meets the windshield header. Both sides should be 'tight'. <----- This is a lesson learned on a 1991 Mercury Capri 'vert--- an over tight latch would allow leakage on the opposite side.

Treating the symptom, not the actual problem: Do you treat the fabric on your top with ScotchGuard-type dressing as recommended in the Owner's Manual? That will allow the water to 'roll off' rather than be 'soaked in'.
A bit of silicone on the door opening's seals will resist water, too.
