Not to my taste either.
Jags do not need brass, travertine and alabaster.

Yeah, I tend to agree. It’s certainly not offensive in any way if you ask me. I feel that it’s just so different that it sorta shocks the senses a bit.

Nice - but from a practical standpoint will get dirty fast - those alabaster pedals and foot well will be the first to get marred. The seats and trim next.

I guess you could drive it wearing socks, gloves, and white clothes to avoid the inevitable. And not on a rainy day.

So true, almost feels like you'd be stepping into a museum or something ;-)

It certainly is unique, but I’m gonna bang my elbow on that brass spine thingy “spanning the length of the cabin”.
Thanks for posting, Valerie.

Got a good chuckle thinking about someone driving it with socks on and wearing velvet gloves to match, but in the end it is just a concept car.

Right…the chances of any of this representing the production car are near zero.

The year before I bought, a salesman at my Jaguar dealer told me he sold an R model to someone who drove with towels on the pedals to protect them. <shrug>

Let's hope so, for the sake of the future of Jaguar.

I think Cadillac copied the Type 00 with their new concept.

With the appropriate radiant cooling/heating source travertine does feel quite well underfoot.

There's not a single redeeming quality about that interior. Stupid beam down the middle (are you in a fight with your passenger?). Brake pedal designed for looks instead of ease-of-use. Giant theater of screens to watch instead of the road. Stupid awkward oval steering wheel . Annoying motorized glove box that has you waiting for its dramatic opening just to get a napkin for your spilled coffee. Polished brass that makes a reflective glare in the windshield. NO ARM RESTS.

If this was Lady Penelope's new FAB 1 for an upcoming Thunderbirds reboot, I'd be interested. I have no desire to purchase or operate this wheeled living room in the real world.

Meh, that's what all concepts look like. Car designers all seem to think we want to pilot the original Starship Enterprise from the 60's.

It's weird they don't look at interior designs that people actually love and admire - Pagani Huayra, Bentley Mulsanne, Ferrari 250GT California - and style concept cars after those instead.

Since it's a concept car you're safe. I think the chances of you even having an opportunity for either purchase or operation are slim and none, and slim just left town.

I want the original Batmobile from the 60s. I've heard it was a bit of a death trap bit I'd still drive it. The Enterprise might pose a parking problem, but the Galileo shuttlecraft was recently restored at a boat shop just down the road from a friend's house. He stopped by to see it and the actually gave him a little tour.

I was at an airshow in 2023 and what was supposedly the original Batmobile was there. I was not able to get real close, but I did manage to take a picture.

I was driving cross-country many years back and while in Arizona we saw one going the other way on a flatbed truck. What are the odds of that?

I remember reading that there were at least two (three comes to mind) with the most detailed one for close-up work only having a four gallon tank. When I was a broke student, or perhaps a broke no-longer-student, I saw one listed for $40K, probably one of the ones for longer shots. The fancy one sold a couple of years ago at auction for about $4.5M. I expect that's what you saw, although there were kits to build replicas.
