The solenoid fits in the existing trim. I chose not the remove interior panels to determine if the wiring was in place because I could get no information whether the programming was in place or an SDD programming was necessary to activate the feature. The mechanical and electrical bits I can handle, just not the programming side of the accessory modules.(above my pay grade).

I'm assuming it'd work for US models as well. They do ship international.
I order one, but it did not fit..... looks like they have not made one for a 2015 model....

I've been searching that part # C2D33850/LOCK, and can't find the locking cap for sale. Anyone have a link?

I just called Coventry West looking for a locking gas cap for my 2018. No luck for me, but they claim to have them for models up to 2015. I did not get a part number.

Since we started this thread in 2015, has anyone had their fuel messed with?

No, because I bought the aftermarket locking fuel cap for my 2014 F-type. I now have a 2016 F-type and I have not been able to find a locking fuel cap. It appears to not be available for this vehicle. The reason I like to have a locking cap is I have PEACE OF MIND that someone is unable to mess with my gas.

Since the beginning of this subforum, I don’t remember anyone reporting fuel tampering. Chances are, if you’re careful about where you park to prevent door dings and other miscreant behavior, the risk of fuel tampering is minimized. Besides, it’s easier and faster to key a car than to pour sugar in the tank if someone has vandalish intent.

My next door neighbor to put it politely is a troublemaker. Over the years I have found at least two dozen nails in my driveway compliments of him. He is the main reason I am looking for a locking fuel cap. Our cars stick out in a crowd. No mater how carefully I park it, if he sees it anywhere he will know it is mine.

I have seen the posts about all the videos describing how to defeat locking fuel caps, but I figure any deterrent is better than nothing.

Has anyone tried the Petrolcaps locking fuel cap at the link below in a 2016 or newer model F-Type? I contacted Petrolcaps and they claim the cap listed will fit.
