Is this just Jaguars or is this all cars in general? And how about letting it idle for an hour? Would that work rather than driving?

FYI, my 2014 V8S had a body colored deflector (and side splitters) as part of option Z99X "design pack" IIRC

All cars but Jags with the AJ133 and AJ126 engines in particular (fussy battery, fussy oil, fussy engine!). Letting it idle for an hour would help a bit but still better to take it for a decent spin.

Oz is right. If you can’t drive it get a battery maintainer and that will allow you to not have to drive it as long ( although for the life of me I can’t fathom not driving it for longer than 20 minutes. I look for every excuse to drive it as long as possible)

Personally I'm against idling. Temps don't get up enough to fully seat rings causing engine blow by. Not as bad on today's engines, but still persists to a degree. Generators and heavy trucks are particularly susceptible to this and you get wet stacking in the former and lots of oil out the slobber tube in the latter.

I dunno about that.
In my experience a car left idling will gradually get hotter and hotter until the cooling fans kick in, and surely that is plenty hot enough to seat the rings?

Oz, yeah that's probably more accurate in today's passenger vehicles.
