Wink Member of the 500 & 600 mile club,lol...!

Put 65 miles on yesterday ahead of the coming rain for an even 500 and then this morning,I headed down Hwy 1 just past Big Sur and home for another 100 miles before lunch,lol...I just can't get enough seat time in this car!

It was a perfect fall Wednesday morning with ZERO traffic so I was able to zip through the twisties without tourists clogging up the road...I shut the stereo off and just enjoyed the ride.

Observations:
A weird thing keeps happening that I hope continues for as long as I own this car: People are pulling over and letting me pass them...I mean practically everyone pulls over. I have never seen this before. I'm thinking it's to catch a better glimpse of the car or that the J-blades really stand out in their rearview mirrors.

Everyone stares at this car...Everyone. I watch their faces as I drive by and you can see their jaws drop and necks crane, their heads are on a swivel, lol!

Back in for more seat time after lunch, I'm trying to hit the 1500-2000 mile mark as soon as I can so I can kick up the rpms...

I have this happen occasionally, and I had never encountered that before - I'm sure I'm not following too closely or putting any pressure on them. Very odd.

Chalk it up to a kick-*** car.

It was 60 degrees here yesterday, so blew out of work early and took a long drive through the country with the top down. Might do it again today; winter arrives tomorrow.

Or at least until I get my car - full hood, bumper, grill, fenders, and side view mirrors - "filmed" next Monday.

Lastly, while I cannot speak to the question of people letting me pass - although I too have noticed something of the kind - do you blame anyone for stopping or staring (or pulling over)?

To a man - and many women (one of my woman friends wrote me back, after sending pictures of my car, one word: GORGEOUS. (Followed by: "one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen".) - this car is simply SPECIAL. (And, in my opinion, NOTHING like it on the road)

I know what you mean by trying to get enough seat time. My car sat in the garage for almost 2 weeks while I was traveling and I now find myself taking the long way back to the office after lunch just to make up for lost time. I have never driven a car that has generated so many positive comments and captured so much attention and is so much fun to drive. I love the reactions of people trying to figure out what it is.

You sure it's not that you're driving like a lunatic? Because that'll get people to let you pass

P.s. I only have 750 miles after two months sigh

It's quite a wide as well as good looking car. So oncoming traffic will notice it and think that they might not fit. Plus, as it looks expensive, the insurance claim is not likely to be small...

This is people we're following pulling over to let us pass, rather than someone coming at us. As Buick says, never seen that before. I've had it happen 2-3 times in the F-type.

Just passed 1200 miles, 2 months and 9 days after picking it up.

It makes a very different noise from 5000rpm upward...

I have my car at the garage for business travel, and the registration plates for some reason are not ready, I am only driving within my gated community, but some old lady started complaining about the noise. I have put 200 miles tops on the car.
