So Unhinged what air filters are you running? I looked over all the post and didn't see anything about that.
Also are you getting Stuart to adjust your tune?
Check the pics above. Only the tubing is being replaced. Aesthetic mod only. Unlikely to produce additional airflow. No need to adjust the tune.

You've left the sound inhibitors on the intake so you wont hear that much more sc whine.
I have the gt4 kit and hear bugger all lol but thats because i have 200 cell cats and velocity back box which as you all know is bloody loud.

I made my own intake with all sound tubes deleted, and the whine is glorious lol.

Looks like you've got a cover over top of the intercooler?
What's the material?

What parts did you use for the sound tube delete - I'd in particular would like to know the diameters of both airbox and original top tube connection.

Lance (and anyone else who has fitted the Mina intake kit to a V6).
Can you report back on any noise changes - SC whine, intake roar, exhaust note etc etc.
Also any change to power/torque/performance although I understand there is either none or so little as to be undetectable.
I'm still tossing up whether to get one of these kits but if they are purely for appearance/aesthetics then maybe not.

Appearance is the only perceived benefit. (Worth it to me).
1. Even if it adds a few horses, at 450hp you won’t notice it, and too expensive to put on the dyno to prove something you can’t feel.
2. Only the plastic cross tubing and down-elbows are replaced (with polished aluminum). The filter boxes and the mufflers just above the boxes are left in place, so there is no increase in whine or intake roar that I can detect. That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist. The sound from the VAP exhaust under full throttle would drown out the sound of a jet engine.
I would like to replace the intake mufflers with straight pipe. I am certain that would produce the desired sound.

I like your solution alot.

Did you weld any tabs on to support the tubes (I cant see any weld/witness marks) as on the OEM setup? - reason I ask is that I use cone filters after the MAF and need a system that is supported up top as in the OEM design. Mina at present doesn't support its' tubing system at all, and relies as I think you have, on the lower brackets and MAF supports into the OEM airboxes to keep it all rigid.

Reviving an old thread as opposed to starting a new one... wondering if the Mina Gallery Upper Intake Kit could be combined with the YW MotorSports Lower Intake Kit (https://www.ywmotorsports.com/produc...-lower-intake) to effectively make a full intake set-up at around $575? Seems less cost prohibitive than the competitors but not sure if it's feasible.

I will let you know soon. And I sure hope so....I already have the YW Intake (Lower) and just ordered the Mina Gallery upper Intake....From what I can see above, it should fit, as the YW picks up right where the Baffle sits, and these appear to end there?

I will post info when I get it installed.

Also...Thanks UNHINGD for all of the pictures and Install tips! That will be helpful to have when it gets here.

I had no idea they were not still around. Man, it would be so easy to fabricate what they produced. I am not a fabricator, but it is nothing special. Seems like with a few measurements it could be reproduced. Only pieces that would require any fab would be the bracket, and bending the tubing I think?

See below...

Well if you decide to build some and could do it at a reasonable cost, I bet they would sell like hot cakes on here.
