Mysterious unplugged wire in trunk

Mysterious unplugged wire in trunk
I was in the trunk area for an unrelated reason, and noticed this unplugged wire. Any ideas on what it is/for?... Should it be plugged in?

The number of times that folks have asked about this, you'd think that JLR would have provided a cover to hide that connector. 
Or, marked it EJECTOR SEAT or MACHINE GUN ENABLE or something...
