I wouldn't get too concerned unless something suddenly isn't working but I would tape it up securely so it wasn't waving around near the battery terminal and risking a possible short circuit.

If you were to remove the side trim, you'd probaby find other unconnected wires concealed behind it. There's often harness connections left unused when various options aren't fitted to the vehicle or it could be from something a PO fitted and later removed.

Mine has the same single solid white wire same length with the blade connector but is tywrapped secure to a larger bundle . Can't think of an option it would go to as there is nothing connected

The trunk light attached to the lid commonly nick the wires at the right hinge area . The 2 prongs are deceptive as that side of the blade connector pinches the other half's blade and the 2 curls you see acts as a pinching spring

There are many wires/connectors that have nothing to do with certain markets and/or accessories. Not every wire needs to go to a connector for something that your car was not equipped with.

The Wire in the pic "see it resting on fabric top of photo? what & where ? does it go?" is the 'battery disconnect' transit wire that was disconnected when the car was released to the customer. It serves no function after the transit relay was removed and returned to Jaguar. Please ignore it.
