That plug is used when the car is being transported to the dealer. You can ignore it. It gets reported here about every six months or so.

Yes it's "supposed" to be plugged into a dead end socket so it's not hanging out in the open and causing all these questions!
But many dealers just unplugged it and let it hang.

This picture is from an XJ with rear air suspension so the location of the dead end plug is different on the F-Type. Sorry I don't have a picture of that.

You can see the plug has the same wire colors as was posted up thread.

I labelled our wayward plug "EJECTOR SEAT".

That is a nice idea, but nobody is going to see it. You need one of these.

That's almost as good as the "Flux Capacitor" O'Reilly sells!
Yes they actually have this listed on their website! Somebody has a sense of humor at O'Reillys!
Flux Capacitor

The funny thing is they had to add "This item is not available for sale" to the listing!

I really didn't have any need for an ejector seat or flux capacitor. I always wondered how much of a performance boost nitrous would provide. I decided to add it. The performance increase could not be believed.

Just that nice blue sticker alone is worth at least 20HP! Heck maybe even 50HP!
