Hi everyone, just messing around putting a new battery in a 2001 VDP X308 that I bought last year. Upon removing the old battery I noticed these two connectors loose laying behind the battery. Anyone know what they are for?
Everything seems to work with the car as far as I know.
Not sure about the white one, you might want to follow it and see where it ends up. It doesn't look like it is part of a wire loom. The other appears to be the connector for the transit device . Once the shipping device is remove the plug is just abandon in the trunk.
There are probably a dozen harness connectors that go to NOTHING your car was equipped with. Many things are OPTIONAL and some required in different markets (Countries).
The single wire is for the Transit Isolation Device that is used during transportation but must be returned to Jaguar when the New Car is delivered to the customer.
You might try a search of the forum and see the hundreds of posts about connector to nowhere. Some actually end up being used for adding on an option that was not included when the car was delivered.
