And when I say new, I mean new (as in as of today). Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to Linear Edge’s hot-off-the-press F-Type Engraving. I had the pleasure of dealing with the owner of this company since last year’s 2021 Magical Mystery Tour—they sent me 2 of their Track Arts; one to keep and one to give away—and I’ve been inquiring when they plan on creating an F-Type since. The answer has always been when time permits (thankfully they’ve been busy). Now they have. Starting today. Of course I’ve bought the first off-the-line (this one) and it’s already being shipped to me even as I write. And, yeah, I paid full price plus shipping.
Like Linear Edge’s other beautiful Car Art engravings, it measures 16 X 20 and is precisely crafted of 13 layers of elegant Baltic birch and finished with black laminate. $125 plus shipping.
And it goes without saying (or writing)—but I will anyway—but yours truly gets nothing whatsoever from this or any purchase other than the knowledge and gratification of turning people onto something this beautiful and this cool.
I suspect it will take the company a little time before the F-Type is listed in their website offerings, so if you are interested in purchasing please e-mail them at: info@linearedge.com
Looks super nice, will there be a rendering for 2016+ models?
If I had to guess, I would say no. Producing the different MY variations would not make much sense for this or really any company. There’s also something to be said about using an original MY. Of course, I could wrong, even if I rarely am. It took about a year to get them to make this version (which, coincidentally happens to be mine. Then again, you know what Freud said—or was it Seinfeld?—about coincidence or accidents).
And while I do not yet have mine in hand (it was only made, and shipped, today) having experience with this company and its products—lots of cool stuff on his website— never mind my interactions with the owner (not only a super nice guy but a true car guy) I have no doubt it’ll be SUPER NICE.
🙏

As a professional commodity futures broker I would normally say taking odds pegged at zero is not a very good bet. However, in this case I am willing to take that bet as I just had a conversation with the owner of Linear Edge—after the winner of the Car Art during this years 2022 Jaguar Every Things Ends Tour is planning on purchasing a 2023 F-Type—and the plan is to produce later MY of the F-Type. Good news for those looking for a specific MY.

Not to change the subject, or thread—although it’s my thread to change—but for someone striving for accuracy, you don’t seem overly concerned about the worlds largest rotating globe missing a piece of the ocean. How do you explain that?
Caught on closed circuit camera!
As if there was any question…

Look, the ocean has approximately 352 quintillion gallons of water. The absconding of several hundred million gallons--a figurative drop in the bucket--is tantamount to pocketing a single blade of grass from right field at Fenway Park. No irreversible harm will come of it.

Matt didn't actually steal part of the south Atlantic basin - after all, he has a convertible. Ever seen the size of the trunk?
Note that Linear Edge also has models of tracks; I see they have Gingerman (in MI), where I first tracked my car (and where I'm from originally.) That's going on the Christmas list...
It’s heavier than I thought—beautifully crafted—and while it comes with adhesive strips to hang on the wall I pride myself in my “installations” so that even Godzilla can’t pull it down. So I quickly and easily installed actual eye-hooks and a picture wire on the back. I gently drilled a very tiny pilot hole about 5 inches down (from the top of the piece) and evenly spaced on the back, screwed two little eye-hooks on the back, attached wire, hammered picture hanger on wall…and…voila! I completed it by affixing 2 little clear rubber bumpers on the bottom to even it out on the wall.
LOVE IT!!!
