Default New F-Type Owner

Hey guys, new here. Didn't see an introduction thread, so hey! I just bought a 2016 f type r, and it should be delivered within about a week and a half. Pretty pumped.

Welcome to the club! You'll love it. And I bet you get addicted to the pops and crackles from the exhaust - there's a thread on here about how to maximise them!

Congrats! What color combo did you go with? Coupe or Vert?

Welcome welcome! Ahhhh don't want to sound jealous, but I am. Been a XF owner for nearly 5 years and really looking forward to getting an F Type R. Although I like them all, 2016 AWD coupe is my top choice. If you dont mind me asking were you considering other cars? Buy from a dealer or private seller? Also it would be great to know how many miles / cost. If you don't feel comfortable I understand. I just want to get an idea of actual cost in the market vs. the more standard KBB/carfax estimates.

Do post pictures when you get it. It'll help tide me over till I get one of these beauties. ..

Welcome and let others know the deal you got so that they have a reference... if you are inclined to reveal general details.

Thanks for all the welcomes! For those wondering, it's black on black. Accent stitching, and the stock six-twin spoke wheels which I might get powder coated bronze. I bought it from a dealer CPO low 60s, but also a little over 30k miles.

As was said, "Welcome to the Funny Farm". Great source of anything Jaguar. No matter the problem, someone here has had it, and will gladly help with it, whether you want to know about it or not.
MTs are great, but some of us enjoy letting the autos do the work most of the time, and paddling when we want to play. Also some of us have wives who are still trying to figure out what that 3rd pedal down there is. Sometimes it is just easier to not listen to the grinding gears.......

Sam,
You're about a year late.

Welcome Unhingd - one can only assume you use that moniker in jest? [and you do know Unhinged is spelled with an “e”?] - to the Jaguar F-Type Forums! You will find many informative and helpful posts here as well as a decent bunch of members. And, every now and then (although they tend to be “invitation only”), “Non-Events” with like-minded F-Type owners. Looking forward to meeting you one of these days.

Happy motoring!

I think it was meant to be for another thread - another victim of the "related threat mis-posting" debacle!

No doubt. I wish they would trash can that feature. It makes navigating on smartphones more difficult. Serves no useful function, particularly since it reaches out to other model sub-forums. I’ve disabled the related thread option on my user cp, but that just disabled it on the full website but not the mobile site.

Yea, I see that, now. Oh well, well... I catch those little details every now and then only after my 2nd cup of coffee. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, and also my up coming 39th birthday (for the 30th time around, or so???).
My Daddy always said "Never take yourself too seriously, now one else will..."
