This crosses over a few different post so I thought to start another one. Finally wore out the oem Pirelli tires with 20,000 miles. Actually the outside tread looked pretty good but when I took off the wheels to perform my annual rim cleaning and waxing I could see steel belts showing through the inside tread. Time for new shoes. Reading all the post on tire selection and size was exhausting, however, I decided to go with the Nitto NT555G2. According to their website a 315mm would fit the stock 10.5" rim and reviews from this and other non Jag forums rated it as a pretty decent tire. So my tire sizes were 315/30 r20 for the rear and 265/35 r20 for the front. Spacer/Adapter choice presented another dilemma. I was using the 17mm adapters from Motorsport tech which held the wheels out perfectly aligned with the fender edge. Going 20mm wider in the rear and 10mm wider in the front would now hang them out too far in my opinion. Bottom line on the spacers is Lenny at Motorsport is currently making me a 9mm hub centric for the rear and a 12mm hub centric for the front. I will post pics again when they are installed. Since I had the car on blocks, I figured I would make a few other mods I've been wanting to perform. The silver Tornado rims certainly looked good but I wanted a darker color other than black. Choose to powder coat them a dark gray metallic called crystal gray. Also, being the car color is firesand (orange), I never liked the red calipers against the orange, so went with the G2 caliper epoxy paint and turned them black. The rims took some time to get back, so why not black out the tail lights while I'm at it. Fyi plenty of room to fit the 315s in the rear fender well, 1.3" clearance to the inside and .4" to the outside on the stock rims and no spacers.
Good pick up on the center caps. I've always aligned them to the tire valves except when I went to car shows. I would turn all upright. Anyway, took a screen shot of the Nitto web sight on tire sizing.
For what its worth, the chart I posted from the Nitto website is specific for the particular tire NT555G2. I did notice though after mounting the tire that the actual contact patch when measured crudely by a ruler was closer to 295mm.

Will the 9mm be spacers or adaptors ? Will you need to trim the wheel studs ? Also the retaining nuts will have to be low profile with only being 9mm thick?
Considered having them black and decided to let them be. The only and maybe best reason I left them alone was to match the chrome on the center caps and lug nuts and they do stick out breaking up the orange. It maybe another little project down the road?
