Default New tire advice

Hi guys,
I know there's been some threads on tires but I'm at the stage where I'm doing some mods on my car finally and I wanted to get some feedback from you that have changed from the standard pzeros. What tires do you think are the best out there?

Fyi I have 20" tornado wheels on the v8 s vert model

The runaway consensus here has been that the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the clear best choice.

How many miles are people getting out of the OEM Pirellis?

305 PSS seems to be the consensus.

To the consternation of many, they are getting a lot of miles out of them. I don't recall hearing of anyone here actually wearing a set out yet.

Thanks for the responses. Any links to well priced set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports would be much appreciated.

I average about 25K miles a year and do not track the car. There are not a lot of choices for the rear 295/30/20. I am going to try the Toyo T1R, with a UTQG rating of 280 I feel is a good compromise of traction and tread life. Toyo does not make a T1R 295/30/20 so I'll try 305/30/20 which is only + 0.7% larger in diameter. These are significantly less than the Pirelli P zero.

I don't have a problem with the stock tires (at the moment) so that is good to hear for me. The Toyo Proxes T1 Sport that came on the TTRS wore out after just 10k miles. No one in the Audi community liked those so they were probably pretty happy to see them gone.
