I like the sound, but I hope you dont have to be hitting it hard on a racetrack to hear it.

Sounds very tame to me and not a patch on the existing V8 sound.
Sure sounds like a Beemer 4.4 litre twin turbo, and as we know it's very hard to get a decent exhaust note out of a turbo.
The beginning of the end for the F-Type I reckon, IMHO of course!

Cheers. I'm probably in the minority but I much preferred the note of the 4.2 to the 5.0. Enhanced with a paramount back end that is! This reminds me of it.

It's a fart more than a growl - Jaguar 'loosing it'.

The Aston sounded like a real Jag!

The days of loud exhausts are about to become history due to regulations...
European Noise Regulations Are Forcing Sports Car Makers to Resort to More Fake Engine Sounds
Not to mention the noise "camera's" they are working on - too loud = ticket.

Fake sounds through speakers => no purchase from me. Personally, I would rather deal with a quiet car. I had a number of Mercedes (e.g 500SL) that were very quiet despite large V8s, you could really only hear them at WOT.

On the video it does sound 'tame' . I think we have to revert to classic cars to get any growls in future.
