Hello everyone.. i apologize in advance on this question but I did searches on the forum and saw multiple posts on how to install a Battery Tender on a FTYPE R
Now I think there are multiple ways based on model year and how many batteries your ftype has? ... I just am hoping someone can send me to a proper link to a 2017 MY hook up

Gas stabil is in and tires are overinflated to 40psi .. just hook up remains ... many thanks for all the inputs !

Going by advice from master mechanic at Jaguar dealer, I simply connect to the underhood positive/negative connections... easy and it has worked fine since 2016 when I first started the procedure.

This is all so depressing, this talk of battery tenders and winter tires and salt on streets and ice and snow. I'm thinking that activity on this forum will drop to about the level of patronage at the local water park shortly. I shall miss the banter and camaraderie and technical discussions...until when? Next April or May?
We're counting on it...my Carbon Fibre Defuser just shipped... and will be sitting in a box till may .... grrrrrrr..

You could do what I have done and fix the pigtail leads to the charging posts in the engine bay, see here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...0/#post1710314
Then all you need to do is figure out a way of tucking the plug end of the cable up out of the way under the hood or in the wheel well in such a way that you can pull it out without having to open the hood, and so that it is easy to tuck away again and it sits firmly tucked away with no chance of falling down or out while driving no matter how bumpy the road. You will probably need to extend the cable(s) to achieve this.
If you find an easy and sure fired way to do this then let us know, I'm all ears!
Edit - I reckon I have solvered the problem.
The plug end of the charging cable/lead tucks in nicely between the curved part of the edge of the bonnet/hood (ie the top of the wheel arch) and the black plastic lining piece which sits under it. It's a tight enough fit so there should be no chance of it falling out while driving, yet it is easy to reach under with a finger (while pulling the edge of the hood away just a little) and flip it out, then place it back again, with the hood fully closed the whole time.
I'll give it a driving test in an hour or so and report back.
Edit 2 - update - have been for a spin on some fairly bumpy roads and success, the plug end of the cable didn't budge at all, still tucked away firmly under the edge of the hood.

I'm soooo glad I never have to think about storing the car for winter and I can (and do) drive on summer performance tyres all year with zero problems.
I have seen snow once in my life and I had to travel 1,500 km for that!

Bugatti Veyron has an external hidden tender connection under the right tail light - to buy a Veyron just to have such though...
A nice solution would for instance be a connection behind a swiveling licence plate holder.
