It's not all bad. I stored my F-Type on Thursday. Filled up gas, inflated the tires to 45psi, put dryer sheets in the trunk and the cabin (heard an old husband's tale (or was it tail) that rodents don't like it,) and attached the battery tender using the ctek cables. Thought about steel wool for the exhaust and the air intake but elected against.
I have winter rated BF Goodrich T/A KO2s on the Range Rover Sport. Excited and looking forward to lots of snow!! I enjoy driving in the white stuff. My commute is, maybe, 5 minutes. So that's easy. Looking forward to weekends to go out and play in the snow!
A friend has this magnetic connector on his two cars with battery tenders.
A great item if anyone in your family is in a hurry or forgetful!
The Mag Charger connections are a proprietary system that use a magnetic system to couple and engage power once coupled. It's amazing since you can't hook it up incorrectly and once disconnected no power at the car. It's also 100% water proof (can take pressure washing), dust proof, and hooks to the standard battery tender connectors. A simple mount that just slips on over the grille and can be removed anytime.
Do I connect the CTEK to the areas circled in white? If I use the eyelet connectors do I need to do anything special or just overlay them on the areas circled?
Another question:
I Use the CTEK battery tender on the front/under the hood main battery, do I also need to hook it up to the aux battery in the trunk separately also?
or does charging the main front battery takes care of both?
No the battery maintainers only charge the big battery. The secondary battery is charged by the car as the two batteries are isolated.
You could add a second charger but the small battery does NOT start the car so I don't see any point?
