Maybe I should be more specific. A school zone is a far different matter. Pacific Coast Hwy through parts of Huntington Beach is 4 lanes wide in both directions, straight as an arrow, great visibility, half a mile or longer between intersections, no driveways or uncontrolled cross streets, and nothing but sand on both sides of the road. There are no pedestrians, and at 6:30 on a Sunday morning, might be two other cars on the road. In California, this is still considered a City Street.

My office is not far from this section of road, but located in a high density industrial zone full of all types of business, including a number of high performance marine suppliers and automotive customizers. From my desk chair, I can hear the whines of Porches, Ferraris, McLarens and Lambos all day long being run to the redline in every gear on two lane industrial service roads out my back door. I am far from the kookiest in the neighborhood. Whenever I choose to open her up, I make a conscientious effort to be certain the only human being endangered is myself.

I presume everyone on this forum owns an F-type. Some should get their cars out on the road a bit more often and enjoy the performance side of Jaguars' engineering.

"...Deutchland, Deutchland Uber alles..."

Aside from the way they widen the Autobahns by repainting the lane markers closer together, plus the closing speed of some vehicles requiring that attention be paid to the rear view mirror, it's entirely legal...

I never said they weren't. What I said was I only speed on highways...(where there are no walking pedestrians). I guess you'll have to come arrest me...internet cop.

Ok Mr. innocent, please tell me that you never ever went over the speed limit & I'm going to call you a liar. So now matter how much over the speed limit you went, it was against the law. Some people...smh.

I had hoped that this thread would be on the technical aspects of the vehicle aerodynamics, but it's going down a different road now.

Either we talk about the aerodynamics of the cars or this thread gets locked up.

Haha ^^ as soon as I saw post #10 show up, you had to know where this thread would go!

Gotta run, have some burnouts to do in a school zone.

Unfortunately, in my area we have what seems like a cop on every corner with radar trying to meet his/her quota, so speeding is very risky. Regardless, I sure do let it rip from time to time and have been lucky so far. Blasting pass some slow poke is generally less risky as you are at least allowed to pass.

The spoiler is hardly necessary here with the speed limits so low and over zealous enforcement so I've thought about disconnecting it, but have not done so yet. I'm not sure at what speed the spoiler is actually necessary.

See post #20. There are misdemeanor infractions, and there are first-degree felonies.

Alright, we'll have to leave it there.
