Oldest F Type in the US
As a curiosity, when was the first F Type sold from a dealer in the US? I purchased my 2014 F Type V8 S in 2016 from the owner who purchased it in June 2013 form the dealer in Palm Beach Florida. Interesting older gentlemen who had 11 other cars some quite exotic. He bought the car because he was sitting in the showroom at the Jaguar dealership when the car hauler pulled in. When they rolled the car off the trailer, he noticed it and asked what it was. The salesman filled him in on the details and he took it home. He was now selling it because he had just ordered a MB SL65 AMG and had no room in his garage. Seriously, the car had 398 miles on the odometer 2+ years later.
Kinda wondering where this car stands with regards to initial sales in the US.

if you have the VIN you can check the date of manufacture and I recall a thread from a while back that talked about the very early US delivery VIN numbers but if you do a search on the forum you may be able to find that thread. Without knowing the VIN there is no good way to be sure.

For at least the coupe and I guess the same applies to the 'vert the build date is on a sticker in the hatch/trunk.
Remove the cover panels then remove the cubby, and it's on the curved body shell part towards the front of the car, a bit right of centre.
It only shows month and year though and not the day of the month.
I may be wrong but june '13 seems early as my dealer had the on tour car in july '13 to take orders. I t was a loaded firesand V8. I think we did the vin thing a long time ago .Mine was 01100 but I think at the time there was at least one lower on the forum.

Not on mine it ain't!
Must be yet another of those differences between coupe and vert or MY or market.

Mine has a similar sticker but it doesn't show the build date at all, all it shows is the VIN, weights and the paint and trim codes.
Looks to me like a market thing where North American cars show the build date on the door jamb sticker but ROW cars don't.
The giveaway to me is the words "federal motor vehicle safety" (no such wording or anything like it on my sticker) and the weights being in pounds (mine are in kilos).
