Biggest improvement is definitely far less brake dust cumulation on my wheels and tires.
I do have to remember to warm up the brakes from the get go as they are very unresponsive until they warm up.
I changed my discs to slotted and now I can feel a rumble through the vehicle when braking. Not very loud but definitely wasn’t there before.
The brakes are far more responsive now and require less peddle pressure than before. Don’t know if that’s the pads or the discs but I like it.
worth the $1000.00 bucks or so? I think yes.
worst parts of the job. Releasing the electric parking brake. Removing the rear pads because the parking brake doesn’t allow the piston to be pushed back in until you manually rotate it a little. (No info posted about that I could find) refitting the rear pads can be fiddly. Getting the little silver clips back in place that retain the front caliper covers. Having to take a file to the new pads in a few places because the castings aren’t quite perfect.
Other than these issues pretty easy.

 

Do you have RS4 or RS4S pads? I believe the RS4S is the street version.
