With a lighter car('00Z3MCoupe) these pads were great for track days and the street until I "graduated " to sticky track tires. Then started to get some fade and so went to dedicated track pads to go with the dedicated track wheels and tires.
So far I haven't "needed" them on my R but will change them out over the winter.
YMMV

The R4-S has been tracked pretty extensively by my Aston customers and with a good Racing Brake fluid should stand up nicely to occasional use.

Apparently you aren't very good using it. Here is a thread found in about 10 seconds using search:

RS-4 is really a street pad, but may be ok for occasional track use. I've read on other forums (BMW M3) these are not ideal for extreme track use - if they get too hot, they wear incredibly fast. If its a high speed track like the big track at Willow Springs you may be ok, as they will have a chance to cool between turns, but smaller, more technical tracks could be problematic, especially considering the F-Type's heft.
The R-4 by porterfield would be a great track pad, but not for the street. Keep in mind the problem with R-4's by most accounts besides the squeal is they have low grip when cold, so on the street they would be far from optimal.

It's not clear if Porterfield make the R4 (as opposed to the R4S) for the F-Type, but it seems the US distributor for Porterfield brake pads is Livermore Performance Inc, see here: Brakes, Safety Gear, Suspension for Street and Track - LPI Racing - LPI Racing
Maybe give them a call?

Don't you have CCM's with the SVR? If you do the R4 won't be compatible.
If you have steels just shoot me an email and I can set it up for you.

Often times if you're having trouble with noise, just good hard, long duration application on the brakes a couple times from speed will cure it.

Message for Stuart/Chris:
Your listings for the Porterfield R4S F-Type base front brake pads (AP 1751, 355 mm) are a little misleading, both on the VAP site and the David Appleby site.
They both show a schematic of the 192 mm wide pads for the 380 mm front brakes, not the 355 mm front brakes.
I'm having trouble finding the same type of schematic for the 355 mm pads but I think they are 155.2 mm wide (a helluva lot smaller than the 380 mm pads).
This may (or may not!) cause some confusion with prospective buyers of these pads.
