Price of transmission service for 2016 F Type
Got a ravenol kit (filter and fluids and even a pump).

Shop charged about 100 labor. BMW shop, so they know the procedure well....they love the F type btw.
Will get the same for our XC40, also zf8hp......these transmissions are fantastic (and unlike PDK can be fixed.....affordably at least.....I am doing fluid/filter at 50k miles on it because that is what I want to do.....)
So about 400 ish.

If you want to see what is involved, here's a Topic:

I did my transmission service myself, I was pleased after the scars healed.
The scars came from trying to avoid removing the exhaust shields and squeezing my hands in there...
Next time....

The procedure has quite a few steps and details to pay attention to, but is really not difficult. You just have to follow the process and not get sloppy. One main point of care is removing the cross-brace for the tranny. It has captured bolts, so don't go at them like a drunk monkey or you may break them off in the chassis = Not Good!. Just spray them and ease them out carefully. I would recommend no impact driver on this part.
I think my total cost ended up being $250-300 all in. So if you would like to save ~$1000 and/or enjoy doing work on your cars, it is a good option. If not, $1200 is in the range of reasonable (at least in Jaguar world
).
Good luck.

As "The Rock" stated above, pay special attention to removing the bolts that hold the cross member. Use only hand tools! Ask me how I know ? I'm screwed, and hope I never need to remove that cross member!

This will definitely be something I take on when the time comes. That will be a ways off in the future in my case, but yeah, looking forward to doing it.
