PSA: TPMS Activation and Relearning
I was able to successfully activate and have my 2016 F-Type learn my new TPMS sensors in a simple cost-effective way and wanted to share.
After you've installed the new sensors:
1. Buy and follow the instructions using this simple $10 TPMS activation tool on Amazon (it's a generic 315/433 MHz activation tool, you don't need a $200+ Autel device):
2. Drive the car on the freeway (my owner's manual recommends 10 minutes of continuous driving above 18 MPH)
My TPMS warning light turned off at about ~10 minutes in during freeway driving.
Save yourself the hassle of dealing with dealerships and tire shops who don't know what they're doing (or they do and they're just trying to take your money!)
Voila
