The OEM lights aren't bright enough to be obvious on a street that's well lit at night. You certainly would never notice them in the daylight.

The main downside of mine is there seems to be little or no colour in them, no red around the face, I would prefer mucho red!
A little update.
I decided to take a punt on a different pair of logo puddle lights, as I was never really all that happy with the ones I bought over a year ago. Still cheap, around $21AU, just not as cheap as the first pair.
These ones: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/292586669552
Muuuuuch better!
Nice solid metal construction vs all plastic on the first pair, better "growler" design, much brighter and sharper, and the red actually shows!
One tip though - the original pair had extension wires (to connect the OEM wires to the units) but the new pair did not.
It appears theoretically possible to connect the new ones without using those extension wires but it looked to me that it would be a tad difficult so I re-used the extension wires which made it an easy job, and so far they are working perfectly.

Looks like you got more red as you wanted. Looks better.
