Default Pulley swap V8S?? thoughts plz

Hello dear members,
My first post and my first jaguar....
Just got my 2014 f-type V8 S.
Love it! amazing in every way...
As usual, im already looking for upgrades
I was reviewing threads on SC pulley swaps.
As i am sure you know, I have the V8 5.0L SC.
Mina has a pulley for the 5.0L.
My questions, are basically:

1-Will i get issues with driveability?
2-Is the ECU same as in the XFR?
3-should I do it??
4-Is it worth it?
5-Once installed, should I do master reset on ECU?

Thanks in advance..
CL

I don't have my car yet (it's on order) but I've been wondering the same things. Please post what you find out and what your experience is.

I would check with your dealer regarding warranty before making any changes.

The 5l SC has been out for a while and is the same engine as used in the 2010-14 XKR, and the XK-RS with a different tune. By changing the lower pulley and doing a reflash ETG claims to achieve 600* hp.

Do you mean upper pulley or has he designed a larger lower pulley? I have not had an F Type on a dyno yet to see the base. I will post before & after numbers once I tune one.

Talk to Jag at ETG. I was going to have my 2011 175 done but decided against it. I'd like to see before and after dyno charts on the same dyno machine. Check the forum for threads on ETG and ECU tune etc. There has been some recent discussion and charts posted. Let us know how you make out. I understand Jag uses the XKR-S tune with maybe some tweaking.

Give us an update. Did you or anyone get the ECU tune by ETG done?

Will you be doing dyno runs before and after? It would be nice to know the exact improvements of the tune and pulley. I am very interested in this too. But I am always leary of vague and seat of the pants comments, The more it cost the better it feels.

Aftermarket power gains should always be taken with a huge grain of salt. There has been various opinions on even the effectiveness of a pulley change, if the engine electronics allow the extra boost or simply regulate it down to the stock levels.

As to the re-flash, insist on dyno results, otherwise it is empty claims, as far as I am concerned. Also, you do realize that every time you take the car to the dealer for service, they may flash a software update and eliminate your tune. Then, you will have to reflash each time and, I believe, only two free reflash is included in the purchase.

Need numbers from dyno to be convincing.
