Default Purchasing 2015 F Type R Maybe?

Have a shot at purchasing a 2015 Type R basically fully loaded no glass roof (which I really don't want) for $6000.00 off MSRP. Sorta of torn between the 2016 all wheel drive but then I would have to order the Carbon fiber roof for $3000.00 + because I don't like the way the glass roof breaks up the paint. Not sure what others have been able to negotiate off the price sound like a fair deal or not?

thanks
Marty

I was able to get a fully loaded R for a bit over $7000 off of MSRP before the $5500 in incentives I used. Unfortunately for your case, the incentives expired as of March 31. Saved $12,500 off of MSRP with negotiatedd price - incentives.

$2500 Jag Club incentive for 2014 and 2015 model years was relaunched April 1, good through 3/31/2016. (JSOB15-37) Attachment 109789

Thanks for the responses not sure I I would get tired of the Firesand color and it didn't have the upgraded stereo so probably will wait for 2016 as they don't think they can come down the $6,000.

While shopping I found some dealers very receptive to out of state customers. It seemed pretty random; not dependant on geography or size of dealership.

I would try dealers who have a high end winter market, which is ending. Rancho Mirage,Scottsdale, Naples, etc.

I believe the carbon fiber roof is coated with clear epoxy paint, and not body color. You could have it painted, but what a shame to paint such a beautiful roof. So essentially the carbon fiber roof breaks up the paint the same as the glass roof. Offer them $12000 or $10000 under msrp, all they can do is say no, but you might be surprised. I think finding a painted roof car will be harder than finding a good deal on a 2015.

I'm with you on the issue of no glass roof.. I got my R without the glass and really like the 'lines'..
As someone else mentioned, I don't think you can get the body colour roof anymore though .. so have to find one a dealers lot from 2015.
Lawrence.

The carbon fiber roof breaks up the paint in the exact same way the glass roof does. So if aesthetics is the only reason, you would be paying a lot more for less functionality.

Thanks reason I am thinking of the Carbon Fibre roof is if I get it with the wheels with the CF wings and Cf body package might look really cool and perhaps not break up the paint lines as much because it matches other parts of the body.

I might have missed it somewhere, but what color car are you thinking of? Both the pano roof and the CF blend quite nicely with the darker models - black, stratus grey

Guess what I am trying to say is if I get a 2016 its either the glass roof or the CF. And I think the CF roof with the CF package would look better than the glass roof and yes I think the darker color like the gray wood be good. Apparently the salsa red is now out and there is a new red replacing it. I don't particularly car for the IRR color. The Jag dealer sales manager in Westlake has ordered a gray with the CF roof for herself so when she gets it I will be able to see how it looks.
thanks
