Hey all! Been skimming the forums and I’ve settled on getting a 2016-17 340hp V6 car but still have a few questions before I go for it.

1) What V6 cars (model years/trims) are equipped with the active exhaust (no button)? And is there any way to tell if a car has the active exhaust (non-switchable/no button) or non-active besides driving it? I’ve been seeing some conflicting info on different threads.

2) I’d prefer to get a CPO but if I can’t find one that fits what I’m looking for, I’m willing to go for a used one with some of the factory warranty remaining and saw that Jaguar has an Extended Vehicle Protection but had some questions about that as well. The first one being, according to Jaguar’s website “If you own a Jaguar car with 1,000 miles AND 30 days remaining of the new vehicle limited warranty” does this mean I would need to have 59k miles and get the warranty within the 30 day window? Or can I purchase the extended care with say 6 months remaining on factory warranty? And have any of you purchased the extended care? If so how much was the plan and do you consider it worth the cost?

You would need to look under the car (or get pictures) to see if it has the switchable exhaust (if the switch on the console is not present).

I've arrowed the actuators that you should see, one on each pipe just forward of the muffler.
