Or too clueless to turn them off. I see people driving around with fog lights on all the time. Interestingly, Audi and BMW seem to be especially popular amongst the affluent, entitled knuckleheads so common where I live. Fogs on always; signals, never.

True. They should only be used in very low visibility conditions. When I said I used them in rain, I meant the type of rain that is essentially as blinding as fog.

For the UK types, heavy thunderstorms accompanied by blinding, torrential downpours are common in the much of the US, not so much for you.

Fog lights should point down and to the side. They shouldn't bother oncoming drivers.

We're talking about rear fog lights here.

Yep, definitely not that common here, which probably contributes to my quiet frustration when you muppets with front/rear fogs on when there's no reason. I see it too often round my neck of the woods!

Ah, now there's one thing the US and UK definitely has in common then!!

The joke for years was about BMW drivers, but lately Audi drivers have taken the crown(but BMW still in close second place!).

As someone who loves elegant design, as well as being someone who attempts it and likely fails (ha), I was convinced the trunk button being next to fog lamps wasn't a thoughtless error, and they must have obviously over-ridden the boot latch at high speeds. So.... pouring over the manual:

"NB: The tailgate will not open if the vehicle is traveling at, or above, approximately 3mph (5km/h)"

What else I love is that they have transcended international differences in the storage... index didn't have trunk, nor boot....

it's "luggage compartment". =^D

I use it to brake check people that are driving like tools or tailgating.

If they're seriously tailgating, they're not going to even see the rear fog lights because they're mounted so low.
