Default Requesting your help, confirming exhaust valves squeaks (2017 V6S)

Hi Everyone,

What would be a car without its small defects and irritating noises ?

Bought myself a MY2017 V6S 3 months ago, and I started to notice more and more pronounced squeaks in the back that, based on various previous posts here and on other forums, seems to be the exhaust valves actuators starting to seize up.
This does only happen upon lifting off the throttle, between 2 and 5 seconds later, at low speed (the car is too loud to notice at higher speed )

However, I was not able to find good/usable sound clips or videos correctly depicting this sound - for those who faced this issue, could you kindly confirm it?
I'll get some copper grease, hoping this would reduce the issue... otherwise, might be tempted to get the QuickSilver option, after having a look at the price of the OEM option

Here's a clip that may help people in the future as well...

Thanks for your help!

Hmm, mine make a squeaking/grinding noise, which I’m not hearing in your video. You can pull a fuse to force the valves to be always open, to see if the sound goes away. For my MY14, it’s fuse F43. I think it’s F15 for your MY, others can confirm. The fuse box is in the passenger footwell, under the carpet.

On each valve there's a lever and rod. I lubed mine with high temp grease, just gobbed it on and pushed the parts back and forth. It reduced the metallic rattle that happens on the rpm drop after each start. I had mentioned it at my last dealer service. The kid "solved" it by disconnecting the vacuum hose at each valve. I found this because the car was droning at highway speed when I picked it up. Lubed and reconnected by me.

2017 is the split model year I believe, where some have F43 and some have F15. Check the footwell fuse panel first. If you don't see a F43 fuse there, then F15 for the exhaust is in the fuse panel in the engine bay under the cover next to the upper left of the windshield (driver's side in the USA).

Thanks all for your feedback and comments - I still wanted to keep the fuses...well maybe not me, but rather the neighbors, the police and the "noise radars" that starts to pop up around here

Exactly - and closing this topic, this was indeed the valves actuators. I also sprayed a fair amount of copper grease on the rods and the squeaks are now history. Been driving for a week now, the noise is gone.
Still keeping the grease in the trunk, we never know!

Hope this will help future owners as well.. that was not a sound worthy of that kind of cars

What kind of copper grease spray did you use?
