Hi v6madness,

V6 MY2018, I did not have the issue recurring or while driving.
What sometimes happens is that the screen stays dark after startup.
It takes sometimes up to 2 minutes till the screen is there.
The rear view camera comes on as it should but shows the picture much longer, so even while driving away.
I would say I had it with each 10th startup maybe, no pattern seeable so far.

The only time it occurred to me was when I had a loose connection at the battery. Perhaps checking those, plus the various grounding connections in the back would be worthwhile. Take the covers off and try wiggling the various cables: both on the battery, then the ones that go to the power distribution block and that bolt to the body. That's how I found mine.

Mine went out last week, but nav only. Need to check if it's back.

With mine, it is the Navigation, air conditioning and climate buttons.

Are any of you getting or have you had a visit from the "low battery" warning?

For all of the symptoms described, low battery voltage is the most likely candidate -either a poor connection or a battery not fully charged (the result of the car being used infrequently, and/or for short runs). This is always the first element to be eliminated before suspecting a component defect -and dealers often do not go through the process of logical assessment. The use history of the car is a prime assessment tool. If the battery is more than 4 years old, it is automatically suspect; if the car is not used almost daily, if it is used for runs of less than a half hour (and especially a combination of the two)....if a new battery has been installed but not fully charged (and "off the shelf" they are almost never fully charged....).
The cure for cars used infrequently is to install a good battery maintainer (CTEK being the most popular brand) and to use it when the car itself is not in use. This eliminates entirely any electric gremlins. Every luxury car manufacturer markets these maintainers under their own brand name, and they all do it for the same reason (see above).

Have not had any battery issues nor warnings. Drive the car year round. Never sitting for more than a couple of weeks at a time.

While I have never seen this on the F-Type, I had a similar issue with the main dash screen on my XJ. After 3 visits it was determined that the built in cooling fan for that screen/module setup had failed and was overheating. I don't know if this helps but it's the only similar issue that I have heard of and actually experienced myself.

I had it a lot on my XKR but it ended up coming from corrupted tracks on my USB. Once I removed the tracks I had no problems and I think it might have happened to someone else with an XKR too. Bear in mind though that was the blue and white screen system, not the black and white nor the new one.
