silver or grey !, how boring, choose a nice metallic blue or red or even British racing green but certainly not grey, silver or white 😴, my F-type V6 is Firesand orange 👌
Wait, omg, is your car.... firesand orange?!? I didn't know that. Amazing, you're so lucky! Next....
Clearly this is a subjective opinion on color but to me the F Type doesn't look right in some brighter colors. It isn't a Ferrari or some other cars that you would want to "pop" in bright vibrant colors. To me, it just isn't "that car" to be in such bold colors. I bought in storm gray and really think its what you like since there is such a small amount of these in the market place. Get what you like and looks good to you.
I'm not sure if people keep the same color preferences long term or if preferences change over time. I have thought for the longest time that I wouldn't want a car in gray or gunmetal. There being very few F-Types in Hawaii, I wound up with one in Carpathian gray. After three years, I absolutely love the color on this car. Part of the appeal is that while it is attractive in the shade, it absolutely comes alive in the sun. This was the same with my Dynamic Sunstone Red Infiniti and my Soul Red Mazda--pretty in shade and like they were on fire in the sun. This variability keeps things interesting.
Just something to consider in your search. I hope you find the car in the color of your dreams.

Oops. That last line should apply to anyone looking for a car. Just realized that this thread goes way back and that the OP has found his dream car.
I'm currently looking for my F type. Always been partial to silver hues and am focusing on the ammonite gray and/or rhodium silver with chrome wheels. Only a few F types here in the general KC area to go and look at in person, and those are black, BRG, white, and red.
So, my search is pretty much online and looking at the ad pictures which are very inconsistent due to lighting and picture quality. I know I'll be traveling to purchase so I need to be 100% sure of the color choice before committing.
Mostly considering the rhodium silver, however, some pictures I see (and there are more of this color available to choose from) have me leaning towards the ammonite gray. Also, forgive me, but I'm also very much a fan of the color of the AM DB10 in Specter and trying to figure out if the gray or silver F type is closer to that 'skyfall/spectre silver' which seems to be a bit in between.
I know asking for opinions on color choice is very subjective but I'd be grateful if those with silver or gray F types could share their opinions on why you chose that color. Which one, in real life, shows off the lines better?

I had the roof in mine wrapped gloss black, the A and C pillars too, probably 5 years or more later I still love the look as it flattens the car out a bit.

sounds really great Bruce, I'm getting the front bumper and the front spoiler underneath gloss vinyl black also but I'm supplying the material but they are doing the roof with their vinyl, total cost is about £140 pounds Sterling. The Jag will look cool and amazing then 👌🇬🇧
