One of my friends is looking at this used 997TT and was asking what I thought about this color. Jokingly I told him it would fit great if you were a smurf. He said it's a special color that you need to request from Porsche as it's not in their standard or optional colors at the dealers. I believe it's the same color when Porsche launched the 997TTS press car. I told him it's a rare color that you'll never see many on the road and it will stand out but it might be harder to sell as it's not your standard black, silver or white.

Just wondering your thoughts so I can pass it along to him.

I love it. I am so tired of silver or black Porsches, that I like to see some proper colour to them. My first two P cars were silver, and the last one screaming yellow.

 

That is a sharp and very rich looking car especially matched with that interior color. I love it!

 

Reminds me of something..........where have I see a colour like that before?

I love it! I a vowed if I ever buy a 911 it has to be in a wacky unusual color. Something special ordered like that car. Great color on the inside too. He should buy it!

 

That might be ice blue metallic. That's what they launched the 997.2 turbo with. It was a highly sought after color, but there was a delay in people receiving this color due to problems matching the paint on different body parts. They finally sorted it out- I have a friend who has one. It's unusual and not bad looking, but not my cup of tea

 

Thanks guys...I'll pass this link to him. Funny thing is the photos were taken last summer as you see peeps in shorts and short sleeve tees. Interesting it hasn't been sold yet. Thanks Octurbo for the info. My buddy with 997.1TT thought the color was the press car for the 997.2TTS.

 

Your buddy is probably right- This color was the launch color for 997 TT S, which was revealed a few months after 997.2 TT

 

i like that color, my 95 xj6 was this baby blue i called.
