I say it is about time we do this. Lots of Southern California owners on this forum and we can't let folks up North have all the fun.

Nice! Depending on date/location I might head down to join you guys and visit the family.

 

That would be awesome shift. Location would be one of two drives I normally do. One is in the Santa Monica mountains behind Malibu. The other would be up San Gabriel Canyon (pictured above) and over to Mt Baldy.

Both are just outside of LA.

If the NorCal crew has more cars show up than the SoCal crew in SoCal, that will be embarrassing.

 

Possibly. Although it would just give you all an excuse to come up North for our next drive. The idea of having to throw a few hundred miles on my F-Type to go for a canyon run sounds very appealing.

 

Three runs so far, 10,15,and 12 cars respectively...beat that So Cal team!

 

I am considering an August road trip to San Diego - let me know when you folks can when the drive would be. I would love to attend.

Well I will be in San Diego the weekend of the 22nd. We need more 6MTs to make an appearance.

 

Sounds like August 22nd is a front runner with a lot of people being in the area during that time.

The last group I lead it was me and 8 GTR's. The largest mixed car group we ever had was over 100 vehicles. That was just insane trying to get everyone through the canyons and only 4 leaders.

Beautiful picture! What's the name of the highest peak with the structures and what appear to be antennas on top? Is it Sandstone Peak?

 

I'd love to participate if it's on the 29th (wedding to attend on the 22nd). Keep us posted.

Thanks! Actually I'm not sure what that peak is. Behind me from the location in the photo would be Saddle Peak along with the old fire watch tower.

 

So I just found out that 8/22 is the first Cars & Coffee at its new home at the O.C. Fairgrounds. Apparently most of the old Irvine crew is planning to attend.

Might just sweeten the deal enough to get the NorCal group to drive down.
