Default Squeaking defroster vents

Hey guys.
It's becoming colder and colder in my country, and temperature has been staying around -15C for almost two weeks already.

And every cold morning I drive my car, I constantly hear that annoying clicking sound from the plastic defroster vents while they warm up.
I tried to spray some silicone on them, but the only result I achieved was an oily line around them, which is hard to get rid of now.

So my question is - does anyone experience the same? Any chances to remove the vents without removing anything else so I could put some paste or whatever on them?
Maybe any other ways to fix this?

Thanks a lot

Can't you use remote start to warm the interior before you get in?

Doesn't help, use it every time.

I get clicking from somewhere in the center stack when I turn the defroster on - is that what you're talking about?

Yeah, and in my case it’s so intense, it is really hard not to pay attention to.

Perhaps some tape could be shoved into the defrost vents, too.
