Squeaking defroster vents
Hey guys.
It's becoming colder and colder in my country, and temperature has been staying around -15C for almost two weeks already.
And every cold morning I drive my car, I constantly hear that annoying clicking sound from the plastic defroster vents while they warm up.
I tried to spray some silicone on them, but the only result I achieved was an oily line around them, which is hard to get rid of now.
So my question is - does anyone experience the same? Any chances to remove the vents without removing anything else so I could put some paste or whatever on them?
Maybe any other ways to fix this?
Thanks a lot

Yeah, and in my case it’s so intense, it is really hard not to pay attention to.
Hi everybody, this is still happening, can I remove defroster vents from the inside without removing the glass? I need to do something to stop the sound

Perhaps some tape could be shoved into the defrost vents, too.
