Hello, when I open and close my trunk it makes a squeaking noise from where the trunk cover cords hook over the side pegs. Has anyone else here had this issue?

I was thinking about covering that area with petroleum jelly because the squeaking is probably due to friction but I wasn't sure if someone else here had a better solution.
