Hello everyone, I have swapped the interior on my 2014 jaguar f type from oyster to red interior from a 2017 jaguar f type. I now have a srs code that when I clear will not go away. When I use my code scanner it clearly shows the vin from the old car which ends in 0258 and the last 4 of my vin is 4858. I did swap the modules over from the original seats to the new seats to get them out of inch mode. Is there anyway that I can reset this light or reprogram the seats to have the same vin as my car now to get rid of the light?

 

No, you cannot overwrite the VIN. Can you swap the modules over from your old seats?

 

I have already swapped the modules for the seat over to the new seats and all I got was them to more normally but still have a srs light

 

The invalid VIN codes should clear if the modules have been put back to normal. Might require a hard battery reset to clear it out if not using an OEM level tool. RCM is pretty tough.
