Ordered mine three days ago and it was waiting for me when I came home tonight.

Got mine in yesterday. Mounted it today, and like Merlin, promptly put the plate and holder in the trunk. It's a great solution, and I'll use it when I'm concerned there's a real threat of getting a ticket, but otherwise, it's just the small block that will be permanent.

That being said, it's the best solution out there for our cars that doesn't ruin the looks of the grill. Thankfully my dealer never drilled holes in my cross bar, so I now have a solution that doesn't require those holes, and I still have a pristine bar.

Got mine as well. Think I spent more time gathering up the tools than I did actually installing the unit. Thanks buickfunnycar.com for finding these guys. Great option!

And Mike's CRM skills continue to show. Yesterday, he went to a BMW dealership and worked up a custom fitment for my BMW, and mailed out the kit today. Wow.

I just placed an order for my new car. This is the perfect solution to the front plate problem.

Default UPDATE: STO N SHO Mount Durability

I've put about 250 miles on my car with the bracket and plate in place. This included both city and highway, including some of the roughest streets Washington DC can punish a car with.

The good news is the mounting is rock solid. It still very tight with no signs of movement. It looks like it will be a great permanent solution, with the ability to quickly remove it at any time.

Drove 286 miles over the wknd and obviously no issues...the only way it'd get damaged is if you wrecked your car.

I used it over the weekend for parking near AT&T ballpark. Feels so liberated not having to worry about meter maids hassling you for no front plates. It's as though Jaguar knew to design that single screw right in the front lip for this applicable. LOL.

LOL, yes "liberating" . . . now you have a tiny taste of how we feel in states like Maryland, where front plate enforcement borders upon a law enforcement obsession. Meter maids are the least of our concerns.

Now see I don't get that...you mean to tell me they'll hassle owners of cars like this? Where exactly are you supposed to mount a front plate...?

I don't get it either, but have to live with it--it's the law. There are have been some attempts to get it changed, and no one ever comes up with good argument for keeping in place, but all those efforts have died in the legislature with no action. Reason is not enough people give a whit about it one way or the other. It only seems to be an issue with the small fraction of O/C car freaks in the populaton.

And yes, you'd have to put it on that rod by getting creative like I did on this:

WTH? I have never even heard of such a thing.

Here is some info according to www.etest.com...

"Remote Sensing Devices or RSDs are specially designed emissions analyzers that are placed roadside to measure specific vehicle emissions using low-intensity infrared and ultraviolet beams. RSDs collect emissions data as vehicles are driven in normal, everyday use without the need for the vehicle to stop or even slow down."

What will they think of next?

Guess the F-Type owners who pulled their stock exhaust to go with straight pipes might need to be more concerned now.
