The VAP muffler I heard at the Northern California gathering sounded great. Except, maybe, for when he fired it up unexpectedly when I was standing behind it. I about jumped out of my skin, but in a good way.

I think catless is uncool, except for closed course, but may be in the minority opinion there. Not for the first time: I opined on a Subaru forum that the revered "boxer rumble" was just lawnmower noise, and one that needed a tune-up. Some folks ... disagreed ;^)

I agree, perhaps not for the same altruistic reason. Catless is just too raspy.

I have an SVR with the 200 cell cats. It was too raspy. I had Velocity add small resonators after the 200 cell cats and I found bliss …. Loud, but deeper.

A foot or so after the cats. Special order/build. Talk to Stuart.

On travel for the week so no pics.

Thanks for posting this info. Just put on the 200 cell cats and without trying to be too dramatic, let's just say I strongly dislike the sound. I can't get the resonators on soon enough.

Let me know your thoughts after resonators. I think it takes the edge off, but I still wish the sound was deeper.... The sound volume however is perfect for my ears.
