Default SVR Wings??

Hi
Just starting to look at getting into an f-typeand i'm wondering i've seen a couple different svr's...some of them have the regular little wing that raises/lowers, and i've seen some with a larger fixed wing (I'm assuming its fixed). Are those aftermarket add on's, or were they options?

The SVR came stock with a larger "fixed wing" (the one with the end caps) but it's still also active and has a Vmax function, similar to DRS to stall the wing out for high speed runs (part of what allows it to have a higher speed than the R), there was no other factory option for SVR:

If it has the regular little wing then it's very likely not an SVR (can always double check the front power vents behind the front wheels to verify, that is also a quick visual distinction of the SVR:

AIUI, the SVR could be specced without the big wing - I think a member on here has one.

Oh it could?! Fascinating! I don’t remember ever seeing it in the configurator, would that not then affect the top speed since you lose Vmax? I wonder if they had to reconfigure the ECU for that, maybe just a coded thing in SDD

I’ve never actually seen an SVR without the wing

The SVR does have the "fixed" rear wing. A delete was available as an option but it wasn't selected by most folks when ordering them new. Probably only 5% of folks.

There are several threads about adding an SVR wing to a non-SVR. It's entirely possible but the issue is sourcing all of the needed parts since it wasn't sold as a full assembly. Looking at $7k in parts due to low volume and carbon fiber.

Yup, definitely an SVR! How interesting, my brain is so confused seeing it without the wing, haha

I’m sure they’ve probably lowered the top speed to 186 then, not that that’s particularly a big deal!
