Default For Tall Guys

Gentleman,

With the knowledge on this forum I would like to know do you think it would be possible to lower the seats in the F Type by one or two inches. I have my f type ordered and it should arrive the first part of March. I'm 6'4" and fill comfortable but would like to gain another inch or two if possible. I would love to know what you guys think, good idea or leave well enough alone. Thanks in advance for your help.

Mine is stored now for the winter so I can't just go out front to check, however I'm pretty sure the electric controls will drop the seat right down about as far as you could get it ?

I'm not sure which model or options you have.. mine is the R which has the multiple adjustments.

I'm 6'2" about 220. I have no trouble with the room in my car. I think you'll be fine unless your legs are very long. Height has been a non issue for me. Speed and the OPP are the only issue.

I'm just under 6.2' 180lbs and fit no problem. As a reference I must have a freakish long torso as I just went shopping for a winter car and didn't fit in a BMW 4 series, or Mercedes E class. I have more headroom in the jag than either of those two...

I think you would need custom work / seats to get any lower.

I'm only 6'1". On the test drive I had to raise the seat in order to see out.

I'm 6'4" and have no problem what-so-ever being comfortable while driving long distances. The seat is down all the way.

Thanks Guys.
Not that there is a problem with the room. I just wanted to know what you all thought about having the custom work done to your f type. I have only test drove the f type at this moment and did not take the time to adjust the seat appropriately. Once I receive the F Type V6 S in march I will have the opportunity to play around with my seat position.

Thanks
Terry

i'm 6'7" and I fit in fine with the roof up and down. if i'm honest when the roof is down, over about 70mph (obviously only ever done on closed roads ) I do need a cap or something, and I have the wind deflector, but you do get a fair bit of wind over the top, but its totally bareable and doesn't put me off it at all

Wow. Jeremy Clarkson is 6'5" and I gotta say he looked pretty cramped in the convertible when he did his review. Good to know that it's comfortable even at 6'7".... That should put the size question to rest for like 99% of prospective owners.
