Do you guys preferred new front end more than the previous? Sometimes I think it looks cool and other times it feels like the original design is far superior.
Cant tell if I’m just used to the first design and just stuck in my ways.
if there is a thread on this please link. I couldn’t find anything
Ian Callum is one of the greatest designers of all time. He designed the most beautiful cars from Aston and the “first gen” F Type. I think my 2017 is the best example of the car. Project 7 being the ultimate design iteration. I’ll be keeping my ‘17 forever.
giving it to my daughter or son!
The new car’s front end just isn’t right.

That angle really emphasizes the differences. They appear to be completely different cars. I expect the new design will grow on me, but I favor the original by a wide margin at this point.
I think that's right, think of it as a different car and it actually looks pretty good. A bit like the Maserati Alfieri that they keep threatening to make.
Also note the Firenze/IRR in the top pic is much more purpley looking than the IRR in the bottom, even having regard to lighting differences. We found that with our 2020 XE against my F Type, but now that a year has gone past they look pretty much identical.
The new front end seems to be wider at hood level and taper down as you approach the ground. Perhaps it's an illusion but I definitely prefer the sloping lines of the original.
