Default Throttle Pedal Vibration

Hi guys,

I have a 2021 P450 and ever since I bought the car at 6500 miles last year I get a slight vibration\buzz through the throttle pedal when the roads get a little bumpy. It's better or worse depending on what shoes I have on too, but never goes away.

Jaguar "can't find anything wrong". Honestly...

I can't see how it's connected to the wheels, but I've removed them all and cleaned the hubs and put them back on, but it's the same.

All the torx bolts on the pedal itself seem ok, no movement (unlike the brake pedal).

Any thoughts\suggestions?

G

That's really strange, since the pedal is just a sensor and only has an electrical connection to the engine management system. It bolts to the floor and that's it, as far as I know.

Yeah it's really odd, as you say its not physically connected to the steering rack, suspension etc.

I may remove it and refit the pedal, torque everything. Perhaps even put some rubber washers to help with dampen any vibration.

No, still annoying me. Asked Jaguar to take a look at the last service but they couldn't replicate the problem, typical!

Plan is to remove the pedal over the winter and see if it can be remounted perhaps with some rubber washers and see if that helps.

Does your 2015 do it?

I ended up trading my 2015 for a 2019 R-Dynamic not too long ago. I need to update my bio

I can’t tell if it’s just in my head or not, but I do notice the throttle being shaky or vibrating randomly. There isn’t a certain speed that it happens at. I’ve convinced myself it’s the crappy roads here. Wish I could remember the difference between the 2015 and this one.

My 2013 car definitely didn't do it, I would have noticed for sure. Wonder if they changed the design at some point during the production timeline.
