I removed the throttle rod that connects my gas pedal to the carburetors linkage. I need to put it back together and can't find any information about the gas pedal angle. I've got a left hand drive car.
I just completed this job last week. The first attempt was very wrong. The pedal was way down with the throttle plates closed. I loosened the clamp on the rod and bumped a screw driver in there to hold it open. From the inside of the car, I pulled the pedal back up to where it looked like it should be at idle. There is a mechanical stop that prevents the pedal from going completely vertical and I was close to that position.
Making sure (again) that the throttle plates were closed, I pulled the screw driver out of the clamp and tightened the clamp bolt.
I don't have a seat in my car so I can't tell if the pedal position feel "normal" or not but it looks to be about right.
Hope this helps.
