Trigger warning: This is what a totalled F-type looks like.
My total loss
Last Tuesday I turned left on a green arrow. Unfortunately, oncoming traffic accelerated straight on a green arrow. By the time I realized the driver of the Equinox was no longer stopped, I had no time to do anything. The whole Outdoor Cat/Outted Cat is no longer of much interest to me. But at least the settlement offer is for more than I paid 6 months and 6,000 miles ago.
Press F to pay respects.
Yeah, I'm fine. I haven't decided what's next. I only learned an hour ago that it's being totaled. I won't be able to replace it. I may step into a "lesser" F-type, but I'm going to ponder things for a little while.
Step back and ponder for a little while. I loved that car, but I was always a little uneasy about the financial risks involved in an out-of-warranty semi-exotic.
I didn't have it long enough to get around to modding it. If I get another one (undecided), it's gonna have a 6MT.

If they'll let you collect parts... Warranty expiration created opportunity for salvaged parts. Those are OEM original pieces you know were working before the crash. I'd grab
Exhaust complete assemblies, good CATs
Headlight assemblies, $3k each
three original wheels
front brakes
trans with controller, harnesses, shifter assy
complete engine assembly with Complete controller kit with harnesses
Complete front body kit
Two straight doors w working glass
Ram Air intake complete kit
Radiator
Complete Front suspension, Wheel to Wheel complete.
It doesn't look like airbags deployed. Those systems are expensive.
There may be a buyer for Firewall Forward
Crash repair shops list every part replaced with the VIN of the source car.
It is hilarious people think aftermarket parts are worth more than OEM parts. These cars bend the front much more often than the back. Every piece on the front sells quickly for >50% of new. Most people want OEM original parts, just not in the Modified enthusiast community.
They likely totaled this car because the salvage value offers, they have received are >50% of the payout to you.
