Not sure if this is a common issue, but the misalignment of the trim between interior door panel and the dash always seems to catch my eye.
Dealer states, "Design from manufacture is 'as is' and not defective."

Here are a couple pics of that area in my 2024 R if it helps...Pretty similar looking -->
I think there are too many different curves and lines there to allow it to fully match up. I looked at my other cars and they all have very similar. Not usually noticeable with black trims and materials but more so on yours.
Thanks, looks like I'll just need to get used to it, unless there is some DIY fix that anyone knows about?
Yeah, I learned a long time ago to determine which battles are worth fighting. My experience says you take something like that into a dealer and you come away with 2 new problems you didn't want. I'm telling ya, the stories I could tell you with my luck over the years having dealers mess more things up than they fix. It's like clockwork for me, so I generally will try my best to address things myself, or leave well enough alone if I think the picky zone of my brain can deal with it ;-)
I think with yours the vertical alignment seems a bit more off. From what I can see in the pics...As was said, I think it's a bit tough with some of the curves and whatnot...
I hear ya though, I think I'm similar to you...I see everything like that...Most times, and it drives me nuts for a bit until I drive it outta the brain ;-)
The black trim with red leather looks amazing on DMeister's F-type R vehicle.
Yeah, I'm quite happy with this Mars Red and Ebony interior. I picked the interior first, and the colour of the car was secondary to jive ;-) It is quite nice...Not a lipstick Mercedes red (which I can't really stand), but in person it's more of a tasteful subdued red in my view. I quite like that.
Here is a decent pick that shows more what it kinda looks like in the flesh:

During my time with JLRNA, I commented on this to one of our engineers and the only way is actually taking apart the dash and loosening the bolts that hold the dashboard apart and aligning.

I’m happy with the alignment of mine…Looks fine in person…But if it’s so known to be an issue, it really is quite unacceptable that this is not part of their end check, or checked as they go or whatever…These are not exactly cheap vehicles…

Thanks so much for the link.
Apparently, some line up perfectly while others do not. I'll just try to keep eyes on the road, though tempted to give the bottom corner of the dash a good whack with a large rubber mallet.
