Default Trunk latch not opening back up

So I opened my trunk, and when I try to close it, the latch looks like it is in the lock position, and no amount of hitting the switch will release that position so now my trunk won't close. Any ideas?

Happened to me early on just once. Take a Phillips head screw driver and insert it into the latching hook and lift. You may have to simultaneously press the trunk release button on your key fob.

Yep I just got back inside from doing that, thanks! For a minute I was thinking my new car would have to sit in the driveway all weekend lol
