usefulness of windscreen?
hello, Newbie here, came over from XKR 15 years,
bought 2014 F-type. setting up for Mods.
I am thinking of buying a windscreen, can anyone elaborate on how much it works or not? does it cut noise down / wind down in cabin how significantly?. Thanks for responses.
I am thinking the clear w/ white light version of the Windrestrictor brand and connect it to the brake lights so it comes on as a bright 3dr brake light.
Anyone ever use or install Windrestrictor brand?
Thanks for replies and guidance.

The windscreen works great. With the windows up, you can drive with the top down at 65 and not feel any buffeting. It does not affect rear visibility and really cuts down glare at night. It is easy to install, remove and replace.
I can attest to this. I bought my car in NJ. with the top down and no windscreen, it was UNBEARABLE to drive. Imagine sticking your head out the window on the highway.
When I got home, I ordered the plexiglass windscreen. It is night and day different. 100% worth the purchase.

Def worth it in terms of buffeting. I didn’t like lack of visibility from OEM mesh - especially at night. Bought plexiglass version from eBay and it worked ok, but flexed a lot, which was mostly just a distraction as reflections danced around as speed increased. Took plexiglass to a glass shop and they reproduced with tempered glass - best option for me. Cost about $120.
