My recollection remains that Super Performance was tied to TVB. I'll see if I have any pictures from before the upgrade to two-piece rotors.
You might be right, but I thought 376mm rear calipers were only available in the later years, I think starting 2017.5 model year. In 2016 and earlier you only could get one option - red brake calipers. At least this is how I remember from playing configuration site - there wasn't multiple choices, you either got vanilla unpainted calipers which were 355mm/325mm or you got painted red calipers (which I think were 380/325). Aside from CF (painted yellow, 12K option when new) I don't remember there being a third option for V6S.

However, as I never had any complaints about how brakes work, so I never fiddled with them with the goal of replacing and hence did not measure what they actually are. It could be the case that 'red calipers' are 380mm/376mm option.

+1

I love the DSC on this car.
It's prominent on the list of things tend to I gush about whenever someone asks me about my ride.

Also, not at all smooth surface and hard to keep clean because of that. Yours look much cleaner than mine, how do you keep them this clean?
They were ceramic coated, the open wheel design offers easy access for cleaning to the entire caliper without removing the wheel, and the Porterfields pads don’t yield much dust.

The V6S also has the active exhaust valves. Some of them do not have the button to open up all the way so it’s progressive. The base does not, but it has a nice sound of it’s own.

But they will have the dynamic mode switch that opens the valves all the time?

The dynamic mode switch is the toggle switch that puts the car either in normal, dynamic, or snow mode. Dynamic mode will hold your shifts longer, gives you better throttle button, and makes the exhaust sound more aggressive. It doesn’t keep the valves open all the time.

“Switchable Active Exhaust” was an option on early FType S and above and you had to pay extra to have that button that keeps the valves open all the time. That switch is below the gear lever and next to the traction control button. If you did not opt for the switch that keeps the valves open all the time, then the valves open progressively the more gas you give it. If you put it in both Sport and Dynamic Mode, rev it to 4000 and lift off the throttle, you’ll still get those wonderful pops and crackles.

Base FTypes do not have Active Exhaust valves at all but has a nice sound of its own.

I know it’s confusing.

Can't speak for earlier years, but for at least MY18 the base I4 and V6 got Active Exhaust standard, but Switchable Active Exhaust was an option. V6S and up got Switchable Active Exhaust as standard.

Maybe this will help. It is for all models, and is 2019, but should give insight into various options and differences. Placed a PDF at the link below on my drive.

Good info regardless, and straight from JLR, so no guessing.
